David Thomas
David started to play the flute at the age of eleven and soon joined his local Youth Orchestra. Since then he has continued playing in a number of orchestras and chamber groups. He is a founder member of the Charnwood Orchestra and plays with the Upper Register Wind Quintet which is drawn from members of the orchestra.

David is a solicitor and works in private practice in Loughborough, his main interests being in commercial, employment and licensing law.

He spends as much time as he can in the South-West of France, which he says is the only place where he gets the time and space to practise the flute properly.
