Music is Dorothy's first love. She has played in the Charnwood orchestra for over 4 years in the cello section. She has enjoyed many hours of music-making under the directorship of Nic who is "a splendid musician" and she has also made many friends.
She has known some of the members for many years but Charnwood Orchestra is known as a very friendly orchestra. She also plays in the Loughborough Orchestra and plays a lot of Chamber music.


In 2007 Dorothy was voted in as the Charnwood Orchestra Honorary President and has been supporting us avidly in her new capacity.






Dorothy has many other interests. She loves her garden and indoor plants. She belongs to a poetry-reading group and a philosophy group. She enjoys doing Petit Point and also going out for short drives in her car. When she has time, she enjoys playing her piano and entertaining - having coffee mornings etc. - anyone is welcome!
