Jane Dixon must be one of the longest standing members
of the orchestra. She joined Charnwood Orchestra after
its first concert 30 years ago and she says "I
have enjoyed playing the double bass at most of its
concerts since."
She works for Leicestershire County Council where
she is responsible for keeping records of all the
land that is bought and sold by the County Council.
She also enjoys playing for musical shows, ensemble
work and playing as a guest in various local orchestras.
Jane helps to organise the Coalville Festival of Music
and she met H.M. The Queen at a reception at St.James'
Palace in recognition of her involvement in the Festival.
She lives in Shepshed and is a Church organist and
also enjoys walking, doing cross stitch and all things
'crafty'!

p.s. She hates ironing!!!!!
